Visitors / Dress/ Smoking / Mobiles Codes

DRESS CODE:
Our club tries to promote a relaxed and friendly atmosphere in the clubhouse. While jackets and ties are not required, we do expect our visitors to be tidy at all times. Casual but smart is the minimum we expect.

We do not allow hats or caps to be worn at any time in the clubhouse; nor any type of golf shoes; nor collar-less T-shirts; nor sleeve-less shirts (men only); nor football or rugby-type shirts. Shorts are acceptable, but only if they are tailored. Blue Denim jeans are acceptable, but only if they are neat and tidy and of uniform colour and are free of fraying, holes, rips or tears.

On the course, we insist our members and guests are also smart and dressed for golf. They must wear proper golf shoes. They must not wear collar-less T-shirts, nor sleeve-less shirts (men only), nor football or rugby-type shirts. Denim jeans are acceptable subject to the above conditions.

SMOKING POLICY:
In common with all other private clubs in Scotland, the entire clubhouse is a designated no-smoking area, under the terms of the Smoking, Health and Social Care Act (Scotland) 2005. It is therefore a criminal offence to smoke anywhere in the clubhouse.

MOBILE PHONES POLICY:
On the golf course, the use of mobile phones is prohibited, except in an emergency.
In the clubhouse, please be considerate. We prefer that mobile phones are switched off in the main lounge-bar area. However, we appreciate this is not always practical but, if a call is received, it MUST be taken outwith the main lounge/bar area. Certainly, no calls should be made from inside the main lounge/bar area.

Persons not adhering to these simple codes may be asked to leave the clubhouse or the golf course.
